Just click in the open area again to bring everything back.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Expose: [ SHIFT + X ]\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; Separates all geometry like an exploding diagram. [ SHIFT + X ] to return to normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Polyframe: [ SHIFT + F ]\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; outlines model<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Using zSpheres<\/h2>\n<p>Location: Tools Palette &gt; Lightbox &gt; Tools &gt; (<em>Slide bar to 46<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.manibogstudios.com\/blogger\/2013\/02\/17\/aet-25b-character-creation-zbrush-week-01\/zsphere\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1994\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1994\" alt=\"zSphere\" src=\"http:\/\/www.manibogstudios.com\/blogger\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/zSphere.png\" width=\"238\" height=\"546\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>[ DRAW ] : Draw a sphere<\/li>\n<li>[ EDIT + DRAW ] : Click on sphere to create another sphere on initial zSphere.\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; You can add zSphere points inbetween two zSpheres<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Turn on symmetrical: Press [ X ]\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; so you can model on both sides<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>[ MOVE ] : Click to move zSphere points<\/li>\n<li>[ SCALE ] : Click to enlarge zSphere points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>After zSpheres you need to convert to polygons<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preview as polygons: press [ A ]<\/li>\n<li>Adaptive Skin : TOOLS PALETTE || Adaptive Skin\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; This applies a polygonal mesh around your crude model.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; it also adds a tool to your lightbox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00a0Shadow Boxes<\/h2>\n<p>LIGHTBOX || Tools &gt; ShadowBox128.ztl<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; [ DBL + CLICK ] on the tool to activate it and draw a square on the stage.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; inside the open box, draw on the sides by holding down [ CTRL + CLICK + DRAG ]\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; this will add a shape in the middle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>&#8211;\u00a0 [ CTRL + CLICK + DRAG ] on the other side or bottom and see how it affects your model.<\/li>\n<li>Erase : [ CTRL + OPT + CLICK + DRAG ]<\/li>\n<li>Hide Shadow Box : TOOL PALETTE ||\u00a0 Geometry &gt; Shadow Box &gt; (click on the box to hide the box.<em> <\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><em>*Note: Everytime you turn it on and off if will add the previous drawing to your existing softening the model you originally started with.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Using zSketch<\/h2>\n<p>Location: Tools Palette &gt; Lightbox &gt; Tools &gt; (<em>Slide bar to 46<\/em>) zSphere<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; Click on the zSphere on the tools palette and draw a zSphere on the stage.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Make sure you are in [ EDIT + DRAW ] mode<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Navigate to TOOL PALETTE || zSketch <em>(expand section) &gt; <\/em>Click on [ Edit Sketch ] to turn on zSketch<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Click and paint on your zSphere.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Erase while you paint : [ HOLD ALT + CLICK ]<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Smooth out your spheres you painted on: [ HOLD SHIFT + CLICK ]<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; See sketch as a Polygonal mesh: [ TOGGLE A ]<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you are finished with your sketch, convert to a polygonal mesh permanently.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; Convert to polygonal mesh\n<ul>\n<li>TOOL PALETTE || Unified Skin &gt; Click [ MAKE UNIFIED SKIN ]<\/li>\n<li><em>( a new tool has been created in the tool box named skin zsphere&#8230;)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Extracting From A Polygonal Mesh<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>How to create a polygon from and existing polygon<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Create your polygon.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Switch to [ EDIT + DRAW ]<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; [ HOLD CTRL + CLICK ] on your model and paint on the area you want to extract from your model.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Extract your model: TOOL PALETTE || Subtool &gt; Extract &gt; Settings:\n<ul>\n<li>S SMT 5: Controls the amount of surface smooth of your extracted model. *Note: Usually set to 0 because you usually want to control the smoothing.<\/li>\n<li>THICK: Controls how thick your extracted polygon is.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>normal: extracts maps\u2026<\/p>\n<p>View<\/p>\n<p>geometry&gt; Dynamesh<br \/>\n&#8211; hold CTRL draw square<br \/>\nalt:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Week01: Shortcuts activate symmetry\/mirror: [ X ] &#8211; you can adjust the type of symmetry.
