The Photo Galleria plugin synchronizes Galleria with WordPress\u2019 built-in media manager. Simply upload photos as normal and the Photo Galleria plugin will create a photo gallery with fade-in and fade-out effects common on flash-based websites. All the transitions happen inline without having to navigate to multiple WordPress attachment pages. Pretty neat, eh? But it\u2019s not all peaches and cream\u2026<\/p>\n
The documentation on how to use this plugin is seemingly non-existant. As such it\u2019s very confusing to know what it is even supposed to do. I actually figured it out completly by accident. When you install a plugin you generally expect that there will be some sort of button, or tab or line of code you add,,,, which will cause \u201cx\u201d to occur. However in the case of Photo Galleria there is not a word to help you. The resulting gallery happen in a completely automated fashion. By this I mean..<\/p>\n
You first add a gallery to your post or page in the \u201cnormal\u201d manner one would in 2.9 or higher. This varies from person to person but in my case I:<\/p>\n
1. first create a post minus the gallery photos
\n 2. then I go to the Media library and upload some photos that I intend to use in a specific post.
\n 3. click on \u201cunattached\u201d to show those recently uploaded images by themselves
\n 4. select all photos and use the dropdown menu to \u201cattach\u201d them to a post
\n 5. use the search to find your most recent post and then apply
\n 6. return to the new post and using the image insert properties box you will now see a \u201cgallery\u201d listed in the tabs.
\n 7. at the bottom of the gallery tab you will see an \u201cinsert gallery\u201d to post button.. and there you go.
\n 8. The end result is that the standard \u201cgrid gallery\u201d which WP would have given you has been replaced by the Photo Galleria plugin doing it\u2019s thing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
