{"id":79,"date":"2010-11-23T17:18:23","date_gmt":"2010-11-23T17:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.manibogstudios.com\/blogger\/?p=79"},"modified":"2013-07-22T16:38:24","modified_gmt":"2013-07-22T16:38:24","slug":"error-there-is-not-enough-disk-space-when-installing-sp3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.manibogstudios.com\/blogger\/2010\/11\/23\/error-there-is-not-enough-disk-space-when-installing-sp3\/","title":{"rendered":"Error \u201cThere is not enough disk space\u201d when installing SP3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Error \u201cThere is not enough disk space\u201d when installing SP3<\/p>\n<p>You may experience the following error when installing Windows<br \/>\nXP Service Pack 3 (SP3) when installing on Intel iMAC using Bootcamp to run Windows XP.<\/p>\n<p>There is not enough disk space on C:\\WINDOWS\\$NtServicePackUninstall$ to install Service Pack 3 Setup requires an additional 4 megabytes of free space or if you also want to archive the files<br \/>\nfor uninstallation,Setup requires 4 additional megabytes of free space. Free additional space on your hard disk and then try again.<\/p>\n<p>This happens because iMac uses EFI file format which Windows XP does not support. To workaround this problem, add a registry key as follows:<\/p>\n<p>    1. Click Start \u2013 Run \u2013 Type \u201cregedit\u201d and press enter.<\/p>\n<p>    2. Navigate to<\/p>\n<p>    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Setup]<\/p>\n<p>    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE<br \/>\n        \\Software<br \/>\n             \\Microsoft<br \/>\n                  \\Windows<br \/>\n                      \\CurrentVersion<br \/>\n                           \\Setup<\/p>\n<p>    3. In the right pane, Right-click and select New \u2013 String value<\/p>\n<p>    4.
