FOLDER STRUCTURE

  1. Approval Process
    • Flag Photo: P;
    • Unflag Photo:  U;
    • Reject Photo: X;
  2. Viewing Process
    • Grid View: G;
    • Single View: E;
    • View w/o tools: T; (press several times for different views)
    • View full screen: F; (press several times for different views)
    • View with black/grey BG: L; (press several times for different views)
    • Hide panels: SHFT + TAB;
  3. Selection Process
    • Select Flagged Photos: CMD + OPT + A;
    • Deselect Unflagged Photos: CMD + OPT + SHFT + D;
  4. Menu Options
    • Solo View: OPT + CLICK;
    • (during single/loupe view) Display Photo Info: I; (press several times for different views);
    • View Options: CMD + J; (pop-up menu > Show Grid Options > Expanded View)

      • Note: Traditional Settings
      • – Highlights are warm and Shadows are cool. ex:

      • – HOLD OPT. to see effect. White shows what’s being accepted.

 

ASSIGNMENT 01:

– 20 images plus an image of a sky as a catalogue.
– Convert files to DNG
– Export Catalogue as A01_lastname_firstNameInitial
– Place Flash drive in a brown manila envelope. 8.5 by 11 with Last name first initial

NIGHT ASSIGNMENT

  • – Shoot manual
  • – lowest ISO
  • – 5 seconds or longer
  • – Meter and use histogram to find proper f/stop
  • – use tripod to stabilize
  • – turn off IS on lenses creates softness
  • – Photograph at night
  • – No white balance settings. up in the air.. whatever looks good
  • – studio settings okay

HIGH ISO

  • Everything in frame should be sharp
  • – no motion
  • – four fastest iso speeds including expansion modes
  • – shoot at night
  • indoors or outdoors
  • subject: something that interests you.
  • -manual, shutter aperture priority
  • – no flash
