Maya Texturing:1.5 Using the IPR (Interactive Photo Realistic) Renderer

IPR Renderer

IPR Renderer is an interactive renderer that allows you to change parameters and see them update real-time.

  1. Create a NURBs sphere.
  2. Apply a phong texture to the sphere.
  3. Press 5 to activate shaded view.
  4. Click on the IPR Render Button
  5. Draw a marquee surrounding our object for the area the  object will update.
    • – Change the attributes for the phong in the Attribute Editor and notice our surface update in the render view.
    • – This works for materials, lights, shadows, etc.
